About Michael Lowery
Michael Lowery, MD, graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. He earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, and completed his orthopedic residency at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Dr. Lowery is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Louisiana Orthopedic Association.
Academically, Dr. Lowery has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented research at several national and international meetings. His research includes arthroscopic techniques in knee surgery as well as periarticular fracture management.
Dr. Lowery has coached multiple sports at the high school level prior to his medical training and plans to remain involved at this level of competition as a team physician in his community. His clinical interest include sports medicine, arthroscopic treatment of shoulder and knee injuries, hand surgery, fracture care, and joint replacement of the hip, knee, and shoulder.
Dr. Lowery performs surgery locally at Dodge County Hospital in Eastman, GA, Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, GA, and Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, GA.
