About William Min

Dr. Min is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and orthopaedic traumatologist. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and he earned a master’s degree in biomedical sciences from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Min earned his medical degree from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School and received a MBA in healthcare management from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. Dr. Min pursued orthopaedic traumatology at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California and an additional Jack McDaniel Memorial AO Fellowship at Hannover, Germany under Christian Krettek, MD. Prior to coming to the Hughston Clinic, Dr. Min served as assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at University of Alabama at Birmingham, Section of Orthopaedic Trauma, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, Birmingham, Alabama. He also holds a Musculoskeletal Trauma Faculty appointment with AOTrauma.

He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopedic Trauma Association, the American Orthopaedic Association, and other international and regional organizations. Dr. Min has published extensively—peer reviewed articles in major orthopaedic journals, book chapters, and patient information articles online—and he has presented at international and national meetings. Dr. Min’s research interests include polytrauma, complex fractures, improving patient care efficiency and workflow, and economics and value issues in orthopaedic trauma. He plans to continue his research interests through the Hughston Foundation, Inc.
