About Kurt Jacobson
Kurt E. Jacobson, MD, FACS, is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a subspecialty certification in sports medicine. Dr. Jacobson earned his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine and completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Under the guidance of Jack C. Hughston, MD, Dr. Jacobson completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Hughston Foundation.
In addition to general orthopaedics, Dr. Jacobson specializes in sports medicine and knee injuries and has over 35 years of experience in the field. He has served as the head team physician at both the collegiate and high school levels. He provides specialty expertise for athletes at all levels with both operative and nonoperative solutions, and he offers guidance and management of orthopaedic conditions and injury prevention.
