About Bradley Young
Bradley L. Young, MD, was born and raised in Auburn, AL. He attended Auburn University where he was the president of the College of Sciences and Mathematics Leaders and an analytical chemistry research fellow. He was awarded the Dean’s Medal as the top graduate in Biomedical Sciences, and graduated top of his class as summa cum laude.
He attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he was inducted into the AOA Honor Society, graduated cum laude and was awarded multiple honors including the Outstanding Patient Communication Award and Excellence in Clinical Care Award.
Dr. Young specialized in orthopaedic surgery at OrthoCarolina and Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he was trained by world-renowned leaders in trauma, joint replacement, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, and sports medicine. He then sub-specialized in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction at Emory Sports Medicine Fellowship in Atlanta where he served as a team physician for the Atlanta Falcons, as well as Georgia Tech. His fellowship focused on general sports medicine, cartilage restoration, foot and ankle injuries, and shoulder replacements while obtaining extra training in hip and knee arthroplasty. He is currently serving as the head team physician for the Columbus Lions, a professional indoor football team based in Columbus, GA.
He has authored over 25 research articles pertaining to orthopaedic care and published multiple book chapters teaching other surgeons about sports medicine topics and techniques. He routinely presents this work at national orthopaedic meetings.
Dr. Young pursued all of his training with the goal of returning to his home state of Alabama to provide high quality orthopaedic care to the community he loves. Outside of orthopaedics, Dr. Young spends his time with his beautiful wife, Alexus, and children, Charlotte, and Blane.
